Functions:
	mapi_authenticate()
	agent_authenticate()	in mapi.c
	cmd_authenticate()	in mapid.c
Gets compiled with the flag WITH_AUTHENTICATE set to 1 in Makefile.in
If the flag is set to 0, no unusual activity or errors are observed.
