libnids >=1.21 (only if --enable-extraflib is used, make sure that
libnids installs also a dynamic library)
glib2-devel >= 2.4.0
Install these packages using package management in your distribution
of Linux (e.g., yast in SuSe or dselect in Debian) or from sources.
explicitely will speed up getting response from other stations.
Please report bugs to ubik (-at-)
Known problems:
1) If configure in applications/abw shows something like:
checking for GLIB - version >= 2.4.0...
*** 'pkg-config --modversion glib-2.0' returned 2.12.3, but GLIB (2.4.7)
*** was found! If pkg-config was correct, then it is best
*** to remove the old version of GLib. You may also be able to fix the error
*** by modifying your LD_LIBRARY_PATH enviroment variable, or by editing
*** /etc/ Make sure you have run ldconfig if that is
*** required on your system.
*** If pkg-config was wrong, set the environment variable PKG_CONFIG_PATH
*** to point to the correct configuration files
Then you can point pkg-config to the directory where the newer glib-2.0
is installed by:
# export PKG_CONFIG_PATH="/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig:/usr/lib/pkgconfig"
2) If make in applications/abw cannot find
/usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/4.1.2/../../../ undefined
reference to `PC'
Then you can try:
# sed -i -e "s/-libreadline/-libreadline -lncourses/g" src/Makefile
